The development of touch screens has changed how we interact with electronic devices. If this is undoubtedly true for smartphones and tablets, as far as personal computers are concerned, we are still addicted to the mouse and, often for work; we use it every day for many hours.

Therefore, it becomes essential to choose a model that works at its best, able to communicate with the computer without the hindrance of the wires.

Our favorite wireless laptop mouse is the Inphic PM6BT Wireless Mouse. It is compatible with Android, Mac, and Windows OS, and it features a big 700mAh battery.

Continue reading to find out more details about the mouse and other recommendations.

Compatible with all Android, Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems, it has a very stable and fast 2.4 GHz wireless connection, with a 700 mAh battery that offers an autonomy of about two months. There’s also the possibility of recharging it using the USB cable included in the equipment.

The Logitech M185, in comparison with other similar models available online, is offered at a more affordable price which makes it ideal for those on a limited budget who do not want to give up the performance of a certain level.

Ergonomically speaking, it is a well-designed product that offers efficiency and comfort for long periods of use thanks to the contoured design that supports the hand and wrist to minimize fatigue.

It is powered by an AA battery (included in the scope of delivery) capable of guaranteeing an autonomy of up to 18 months. When the device is not in use, the automatic power saving mode is activated to preserve its duration.

4. Best Upgraded Mouse: Logitech MX Master 3

Logitech MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse, Ultrafast Scrolling, Ergonomic, 4000 DPI, Customization, USB-C, Bluetooth, USB, Apple Mac, Microsoft PC Windows, Linux, iPad - Graphite

Key features

  • MagSpeed mouse wheel
  • 4000 dpi max resolution
  • 125Hz transmission speed
  • USB and Bluetooth connectivity
  • Apple, Windows, and Mac compatibility

Continuing on a 2-year cycle, Logitech logically introduced the MX Master 3 in 2019, and this time, it goes further than with its 2S, upgrading both hardware and software of its flagship office mouse. The main novelty is an electromagnetic “MagSpeed” wheel that promises ultra-fast and silent scrolling with better reliability.

Appreciated for its comfort, the MX Master 2S was, however, not suitable for small hands, which its relatively large size could impede. Without denying the original design, which was the strength of its mouse, Logitech has heard the critics and corrected the shape of its new MX Master.

The handling of the newcomer is easier if you don’t have a very large hand. First of all, the top of the shell is narrower, giving the impression of having a less bulky mouse in hand. The extra 2.6mm of height helps support the top of the index finger and dips the palm to the right for a more angled hand position.

On the other hand, the MX Master 3 remains a relatively heavy mouse. Therefore, it is not intended to be handled abruptly and is not recommended for fast video games, even if the 4 PTFE pads ensure a smooth and fast glide.

Nevertheless, the perfect grip makes it easy to handle. The fingers naturally find their place and are welcomed by a rubbery coating that ensures a good grip. It’s much better in any case than the stiffer plastic of the previous MX Masters, which forces you to squeeze the mouse harder to lift it. Not that with the Master 3, which is therefore easy to handle.

The small, subtly indented grooves on the left edge also help prevent the thumb from slipping. The general finish is, for its part, irreproachable; no less than a top-of-the-line mouse.

Pros

  • Impeccable finishes
  • More ergonomic than previous versions
  • Features MagSpeed, the best mouse wheel in a mouse
  • Good battery life and fast charging.

Cons

  • A little heavy for small hands.

Things to Consider Before Buying a Wireless Mouse

Technology

This is the first criterion to consider when buying a mouse. Be aware that the technology determines the sensitivity, precision, and speed of the device. A wireless mouse is characterized by the DPI (Dots Per Inch), defining the amount of information constituting a line of one inch.

The principle is quite simple. The higher the DPI number, the faster the cursor will move with less mouse movement. A 1000 DPI model, for example, is less sensitive than a 1600 DPI model.

But that doesn’t mean that hardware with a higher DPI will always be better. It all depends on the usage. While a high-DPI mouse is great for gaming, an easier-to-learn low-DPI accessory is better for office work.

Customizable buttons

Your choice should also be influenced by the buttons. While some mice have 3 buttons, others have 5 to more than 15 buttons.

Here again, it is necessary to choose according to the use. A 3-button device whose 2 left-right buttons and the wheel are sufficient for office automation. However, you can opt for a model equipped with two very practical side buttons for browsing the internet.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a wireless gaming mouse, turning to an accessory with additional programmable buttons is better. This type of mouse, for example, often has buttons used to speed up the device without accessing the control panel.

Ergonomics

Wireless mice come in all sizes and all shapes. Be aware that the device must be suitable for your use. This must be adapted as much as possible to the morphology of your hand so that you can enjoy better comfort.

Opt for a smaller model if you have small hands vis-versa. Some manufacturers even offer left-handed mice. Besides the size, also consider the shape and the design of the material. The ideal is that it is both pleasant to hold and aesthetic. You will find them in all styles and colors.

The weight is a criterion not to be taken lightly since it also determines the ergonomics of the mouse. It should be noted that a heavy device can tire the wrist, especially during long-term use. Your accessory will also be more difficult to transport. We advise you to choose a light mouse that weighs between 70 and 130 grams.

Battery

Apart from the technology, the buttons, and the comfort of use, autonomy is also an essential point to consider when choosing the right mouse. Cordless models have cells or batteries whose operating time is very variable.

Some devices like the Logitech M590 have an AA battery that can work continuously for 24 months. Other rechargeable wireless mice offer up to 500 hours or more battery life. It’s up to you to find the equipment that meets your expectations, knowing that a model offering greater autonomy often turns out to be more expensive

Conclusion

A wireless mouse is an ideal alternative for laptops or if you feel disturbed by the cables of conventional mice. However, the wireless models are a bit heavier and need to be recharged or battery-powered from time to time.

However, these radio-controlled devices do not require a cable (although there’s often the option to use a cable) and thus allow complete freedom of movement with the mouse within a radius of around ten meters from the receiver. Once again, this is our final recommendation, based on what you want in a wireless mouse:

  1. The Overall Best: Inphic Wireless Bluetooth Rechargeable Mouse PM6BT
  2. Best Ambidextrous Mouse: Logitech Wireless Mouse M190
  3. Best Wireless Gaming Mouse: Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed
  4. Best Upgraded Mouse: Logitech MX Master 3
