A Comprehensive Guide to Bridge Repair in Stardew Valley

| Updated:

Stardew Valley is a game that lets players take care of a farm and engage in various activities. One of the challenges you may come across while playing is a broken bridge.

Don’t worry, in this game, you have the option to repair the bridge. Here’s everything you need to know about bridge repair in Stardew Valley.

How to Obtain the Bridge Repair Option in Stardew Valley

In Stardew Valley, there are two ways to repair a broken bridge. Both methods will lead you to the same result – a repaired bridge. Let’s take a look at both options.

Purchasing the Pack through JojaMart Warehouse

To access the JojaMart warehouse, you’ll need to buy a 5000 g membership. This membership gives you access to the community center upgrades, including the bridge repair bundle.

When you sign up for the membership, the community center is replaced by a Joja warehouse, and all repairs will be done by Joja for a total cost of 140k.

The JojaMart warehouse provides an easier and quicker way to unlock things, as it doesn’t force you to do the activities in the community center. It’s all about making money, and you don’t have to worry about completing repairs in a specific amount of time.

Completing the Bundles in the Community Center

The Community Center is located in the north of the town. To repair the bridge, you’ll need to complete the bundles in the center. The center has different rooms, each with its own bundles that need to be completed to unlock the room rewards.

If you’re new to the game, you’ll need to activate the bundles by interacting with the golden tablet on the left side of the center. The next day, you’ll receive a letter from the wizard, who will give you the ability to read the bundles.

To complete the bundles, you’ll need to collect all the items requested. Each completed bundle will give you a reward.

After you complete all the bundles in a room, the next room will open. Keep in mind that each season affects the availability of the items you need to collect.

The Craft Room is the first room you’ll have access to in the Community Center. It has 6 bundles that need to be completed, and once you’ve completed all of them, you’ll have access to the Bridge Repair Reward.

Bridge Repaired After Claiming the Bridge Reward

The completion of all Craft Room bundles makes players eligible for the main reward, the Bridge Repair. This reward only repairs the bridge leading to the Quarry. After the bridge is fixed, players can access the Quarry.

Location of the Bridge Repair Reward

The Quarry bridge is located in the northeast of the map, near the Quarry. It can be found on the east of the Mines and the Adventurer’s Guild.

Bridge Not Repaired??

After receiving the Bridge Repair reward, players must sleep one night before the bridge is fixed. The repair process does not happen immediately.

How to Repair Other Broken Bridges in Stardew Valley

Other broken bridges in the game are not repaired by the Bridge Repair reward. This section outlines the process of repairing the beach bridge and the forest bridge.

Beach Bridge

The beach bridge near Elliott’s cabin is a valuable resource to repair. The other side of the beach contains coral and sea urchins that can be sold for a decent profit.

Additionally, there is a pier with prime fishing locations for ocean fish, including a rare species.

Repairing the beach bridge requires 300 wood, but players must note that they cannot repair the bridge if the night market is taking place.

Forest Bridge

The broken bridge in the Cindersap forest near the Wizard’s house, also known as the Stone bridge, can only be crossed once a year during the spring flower dance.

There is no way to repair the bridge, and there is nothing on the other side except during the festival.

Ginger Island Bridge

The objective of Ginger Island is to collect 130 golden walnuts from different parts of the island. Parts of the island are unlocked sort of sequentially. You can decide which ones to unlock first.

When exploring the island you will encounter a broken bridge near the dig site.

To repair that bridge you need to wait for a parrot to appear on the little perch (located near the bridge). Once the parrot appears, give it 10 golden walnuts.

For the parrot to arrive you will need to:

  • Move the turtle blocking the west first, for 10 golden walnuts
  • Unlock the farmhouse on the island, for 10 golden walnuts. The farmhouse acts like a greenhouse, where you can plant any crop without having to worry about the season.
